Theme question... I think
«

I modified the Green Theme (hope that is ok) and if I recall it has 4 'pages'. If I make a change to one page, like adding a graphic, etc, it looks like I need to add that to the other 3 pages for everything to show up correctly. Does that make sense/sound right?
At some point, I want to try to add more links where it says home, and about me, perhaps a RSS feed but I am not comfortable doing that right now...
I had the same web page layout for almost 12 years, I love Thingamablog!!!
Thanks!
Tom

The templates are, indeed, independent of one another. To make a change in the entire blog, you have to change all of the templates yourself. To minimize typing, you can create a custom tag and then use the tag in the templates where you want the change to go. That is what I did.
I have blogged about how I modified the templates. Here is a good starting place:

Be very careful about preserving the changes to your templates. It is very easy to wipe out the changes you have made. After you have changed the templates, find them in the database folder and make backups. If you change the theme to something different and then back again, all of your modifications will be gone!
Best yet is to back up the entire database folder after you make the changes.

Thanks!
I learned the hard way about changing themes!
I would love to see the database having an option to store itself where my website resides so I can modify it using the gui from multiple locations. The post to email is ok, but I really like the gui!
I need to brush up on my HTML for sure!

Most of the other blogging tools, like Wordpress, work that way. The blogging program runs on the server and you enter your posts using a local gui such as a browser, which converses with the blogging tool over the net. The blog database resides on the server.
Thingamablog is different since it is a client side blogging tool, which is what drew me to it.
While I am not trying to discourage you from using Thingamablog, you might be happier with a server side tool if you really need to have remote access to your database from anywhere. TAMB is not set up to work that way.
