not responding on PUBLISH (Java platform Binary)

Have been working for a whole while with Thingamablog without any noticable problems.

Since about 1 week I get the following problem:
-I Make a new post
-When I hit POST AND PUBLISH THE ENTRY thingamablog freezes
-I can wait forever
-I have to do CTRL-ALT-DEL and END TASK
-I get a message saying "Java Platform SE Binary" is not responding

I have version Thingamablog 1.5.1
I have windows 7
Both for a while without problems

I have tried updating Java, doesnt help

What works is after restarting Thingamablog, to make a new (empty) entry and then publish.
Then the first entry is also posted.

This is all perfectly reproducable.

Is this a known problem?
What can I do?

Update: it would apear that the problem only happens when an image is in the post
