Thinga crashing
«

I'm having a problem. Note that everythign was working just fine until yesterday - and I've not changed any configurations or added or removed any software on my computer.
I click on Thinga to open it, and sometimes it opens and sometimes it doesn't. When it does open, whenver I click on anything in the program, it just disappears - and then won't reopen.
Any ideas?

Mari,
Try deleting or renaming your .thinga folder in C:\Documents and Settings\username.
You'll have to manually reopen your blog after doing so when you restart thinga. e.g File/Open Database.
Let me know what happens.

Hmm... After you deleted/renamed the .thinga dir, did it crash before or after you re-opened your user.xml?
Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling thinga?
If you can't get as far as opening your blog before the crash try the following.
1.open a dos box, and enter java -version. Verify that it says java 1.4.2 or greater, if it doesn't that's likely the problem.
2.cd to c:\program files\thingamablog1
3.launch it with the command: java -jar thingamablog.jar
4.After it crashes, copy any output from the dos box, and post it here.

That's just it - most of the time, the program doesn't open. I get the animated arrow telling me it's doing something, but the program never appears. And then, sometimes it opens, but when I go to click on something, the program disappears.

Not yet. I've been trying to avoid doing that. But I'll do that if you think it'll help.

I do have the very latest Java. I make sure that stays current.

The program loaded that way, but I wasn't able to use anything inside it - none of the buttons or menus worked. And it didn't crash. It just sat there looking at me.
I think I'll try a reinstall.
