Finding Template Elements
«

Any idea where to find a comprehensive list of Template Elements now that they no longer are on the HELP menu?
In specific I'm wanting to do META tags for the keywords & description in my templates.

I installed the old version in a folder with a different name so that the help file and the tags reference are available. There are also some new 1.5 tags listed in the forums as well.
I'm not sure if there is another reference source. Might be a good idea to compile one if not. I'll take a look at it if nobody else can help.

Ok, if you send me an email. I'll send you a tag reference that you can use until the 1.5 help file is ready.

Why don't you put it online for all to use?

Why not indeed? So here you go
TAMB Tag Reference
All I have done is copy what's available in the 1.1b6 help file and what's here on the forum but hopefully it'll help you along until the help file has been updated.

Thank you SO MUCH - found what I was looking for <$EntryKeywords$> and <$EntryDescription$> are used for the META tags in the header.
(but apparently aren't implemented yet in the code.)
p.s. When you get bored (LOL) you could convert a few more templates for us

I have used those tags in 1.5 beta 4 and they seemed to be working. Maybe they just work between the BlogEntry tags? I'll check it out later.

The tags do work, but only between the <BlogEntry> </BlogEntry> tags and presumably between <Entries> </Entries> tags but I haven't tried those.
But good news. I put this in my head and it works:
<BlogEntry limit="1" limit_by="1">
<meta name="description" content="<$EntryDescription$>" />
<meta name="keywords" content="<$EntryKeywords$>" />
</BlogEntry>
If you don't limit the entries it will repeat it over and over for as many posts as you have on your page.
ps. I am working on a new theme now

It does work between <Entries> </Entries> tags.
...but thinking about it, I'm not sure this is what you really want on the front page as it will output the keywords and description for the last entry only and not all of the posts on front page. This would be perfect for an entry page but I can't see it being a lot of use elsewhere.

Hi and hello to all.
I would like to get the tag reference PDF manual, but the link is not working for me. Any other place to get it?
Thanks,
Terry

Sorry try this:
TAMB Tag Reference
but the help file is now available in the latest version of TAMB which may be better.

Not a problem at all. Thank you for the reply.
Also thanks for pointing the help file out.
