I've posted this a few days ago in another thread, but here it is again:
For all those RSS junks out there, I found a freeware that pings your feeds to a (couple of) dozen of search engines or whatever you call these gizmos. Allscoop RSS Submit Pro http://www.allscoop.com/tools/rss-submit/ |

I don't know what you would need to do but I'd like to find out more information about this module. I'd be highly interested in a pinging module that allows specifying different ping sites and knowing when the ping failed to connect. Uhm but i tink yes it brought up a negative feelings from the company that being pinged by you coz they think that you are a hacker..

Hi,
I safe Thingaprofile completely to an external partition. Occasionally I reset my system from an image. After a re-backup of profile, missing always any articles or parts of articles. I believe it concerns the last contribution. Also the return-backup of application data brings no change. Where TAMB its data also stores, in the registry may or in tempororäre files? Thanks thingblogger |

Well I'm back using TAMB. I dropped my host and decided to go with my ISP, it's a money and simplicity thing.
Anyway, I was playing with B2Evoloution and added ClusterMaps and really liked it. I added it to TAMB but for some reason I can't get it to sit in the sidebar. I'm not sure why and as far as I can tell the code is correct. If anyone wants to take a look and let me know what I need to do I would greatly appriciate it. http://steven.h.home.bresnan.net/ UPDATE: I figured it out, it was the Clustermaps code. i switched to the minimalist and that worked fine. |

Perhaps Bob could be convinced to release the source for 1.5 since he seems to have become disinterested in it again. At least that way somebody could put it on a debugger to see what is happening.
I am still running 1.1b6 and not seeing any problems like this one. Banjo (_)=='=~ |

I haven't had the issue for a couple of days now. Honestly I don't think this is a TAMB bug. My guts feeling is that some (third party) module of TAMB is phoning home and when the away server isn't responding the program keeps on waiting. But I am not really interested to 'sniff' around what in- and outgoing connections are made while posting or updating posts.
One of these third party modules (the WYSIWYG editor) is also the source of many frustrations as it tends to destroy some code, especially when one tries to publish Flash or YouTube content through TAMB. Is TAMB to blame? No: because it is a third party module. Yes: because Bob should know by now that the editor is crappy and should have been looking a a replacement... The nice thing would be if someone could grab the (previous) open source files of TAMB and make a TAMB #2 out of it. I don't have the time, nor the guts (nor the knowledge) to do that... |

Any news?
I am now totally unable to post anything with Thingamablog ![]() People who have whitelisted java, are you still working problemfree? I just stopped windows firewall and still no ability to post... I've had just about enough...what is this thing that someone makes a great piece of software, promotes it and when the shit hits the fan he's nowhere to be found.?! Agreed it's freeware, still I don't like the idea that my blog might be lost any moment because someone has lost intrest in it's software?! When you have a lot of users, this brings some responsibility with it Too bad, realy liked this software Edit: thank God "work around" I mentioned a few posts ago still works... |
