Running on Linux without GUI. Is it possible?

I want to move Thingamablog to a server that is running Linux, but text mode only. At the same time I want to change to posting by email, rather than typing my words into a window on the machine that runs Thingamablog.
Is it possible? I have Webmin available if useful.
The reason for absence of graphics is the server load, it really doesn't like the extra workload of a graphic user interface. Yes, its old, someone else's discard. But how else does one learn something new?

Hi Fred,
You might want to have a look at ThingaWeb
http://www.satpathy.in/thingaweb/thingaweb.html
This is an older version of Thingamablog that runs on a tomcat web server, rather than as a desktop app. I do not believe it has email capabilities, but might be worth a look.
Other than that, I'm sorry to say it is not possible to run without a gui.
