Possible to add a Default Image to posts?

This is my first post, so let me say I love using TAMB and find it's very versatile especially when using the template elements in your own custom design.
I'm currently building a new template for my blog where I'd like to have a 'default image' on the main page for the top story, that is where I'll have a couple of paragraphs, and a jump link to the actual post with a nested DIV containing a picture I make up relating to the post.
Is there any way I can make this happen in TAMB using some kind of naming convention that gets picked up, or something?
Thanks

I don't quite understand the question, actually.

You'll notice many sites have a format where there will be a top story accompanied by an image, and a jump link for the full article... like for instance on
www.yongestreetmedia.ca
the top couple of stories have a picture next to them, and when new stories appear, they show up in the same location, in the same format with an image to fit within the same area of the post.
I was originally wondering if it would be possible when making a new post to insert an image like seen on that site, but I'm realizing it would likely require a modification to the GUI so it would know specifically where it was supposed to go, or what it was supposed to be called.
I think I'll just stick to doing it manually.
