ftp problem, TAMB freezes
«

TAMB version: 1.5.1
Java version: 1.6.0_18
Operating System: Win XP (Locale: sv-SE)
When I try to publish new posts (or re-publish all) the task fails after 1 sek and the program goes into a looked mode. I guess it's some kind of timeout or something but It's only two weeks since my last post and I cheked the ftp-connection-string. It works with other ftp softwares. It happens all the time no mather what I try (SFTP-setting, new post, republish weblog etc)
Are there no logfiles for the program?

In reverse order (just like the Miss World competition, only nowhere near as attractive (!)), because we don't live here all the time.
FTP problem. You make no mention of trying "Passive mode". Depends on firewall and other parameters. Passive mode is the only way I can reliably post every time. What goes wrong is that the firewall has permitted an outgoing connection, but will refuse an incoming connection as it could be the "nasty brigade". But the FTP server wants to move on to the next operation (whatever that is) so the server tries to open a new connection and sits waiting for TAMB's response. TAMB sits there waiting for the server to do something, and never knows it has, because the firewall has thrown the packet away! They will sit there for ever if you let them! Using passive mode forces the server to use only the connection created by the client (TAMB). Those packets from the server will therefore get back inside the firewall.

I've tried "Passive mode" with same result, the task status goes into "failed" after 1 sec and the program freezes
Also, when trying with other ftp-software I have no trouble making a connection
I have using TAMB for a month now and without trouble but something happend, perhaps a java-update or likewise. I can not use TAMB anymore since it refuses to make a connection and it's really annoying to go through the configuration again with some other software, I like TAMB

Solution: delete weblog created with older version of TMAB and re-create it with new version, works like a charm but no fun if you got a lot of entries
